Everything started in a small workshop in Hösel near Düsseldorf with just 2 turning lathes in 1946 and with the production of gas-, coal or electricity driven stove and baking hoods. It was only four years later that Uni-Geräte produced all cable harnesses for germanys first household washing machine with a bull's eye – the famous Constructa (1951). Now at peak times the founder of our company, E. Mangelmann, employed up to 180 people. For space reasons the family-owned company moved to the present production site in Weeze at the Lower Rhine area in 1958. Mr Magelmann developed safety valves and fittings for the first German heating and power plant and, respectively, for the Nuclear power plant in Karnap (1965) and Stade (1972), thus not only setting the course for the future of his own company...
